I Got My Nails Done By a 12 Year Old

Hey there! I'm late again but YOLO 

 

In mid afternoon of August 5th, a wonderful 12 year old girl offered to do my nails. I gratefully accepted because I am way to lazy to do my own. She is a true gem.

In the picture above you can see my newly painted nails. They are a beautiful blue with a cute little pink design in the thumb. Overall I was very pleased with how my nails turned out. Although my iPad camera just wasn't in the mood to take some quality pictures.

My Favourite Emoticons

Hey there lovely! How are ya doin'? Excuse my lack of grammar but today could possibly be a fail of a blog post. I plan on doing it on my favourite emoticons or emoji's as some may call it. However I do not know, so lets experiment on Day 4 of Blogust! 

I'm going to pick ten emoji's that I particularly like and then say why I enjoy them. This could be fun or it could be a complete waste of time. I'm going to be optimistic and say this will be fun because IT WILL BE.

1. 🎉 This allows me to celebrate. I celebrate a lot. Whether I have the smallest or largest accomplishment 🎉 is always there to cheer me on.

2. 😂 This is how I feel every time I see something that's funny. When I laugh I get a huge smile and I usually start crying of laughter. 😂 Represents me multiple times throughout the day.

3. 🙌 I just started using this one today. 🙌 Is so optimistic. It makes me feel like whatever I'm talking about is magic. I felt quite magical today 🙌🙌🙌

4.💅 Although it only has three fingers,I feel it represents me painting my nails quite well. I use it whenever I am doing my nails, people seem to get what I'm talking about when I just put 💅 instead of typing "I'm about to do my nails, so I will reply when dry!" 

5. 😄 I just like it because my eyes do that when I smile too.

6. 🌅 This sunset is my favourite scenery one. It's so pretty and I love sky. So it automatically has my attention.

7. 😎 Whenever I am feeling rebellious, I use it. I am quite rebellious, so I 😎 a lot.

8. 🍫This can really pass for any chocolate bar. It's versatile which is good. I eat a lot of chocolate bars so it is a well needed and well used emoji. 

9. 😒 This how I feel on the inside when I'm pretending to be happy. So on the outside I'm all 😄 but really I'm 😒. I'll be texting my friends in a social situation 😒. By texting I mean using my iPad, I have a blackberry. I can't use those, I think...😒

10. In all honesty I couldn't pick a ten. So I thought I'd just use all the ones that I considered and provide no explanation. It's up to you to use your imagination.. 💚👍🙈😊📬✨☎😘🙉🙊😹🙀😴

Am I a Future Weather Photographer?

Hey there beautiful! How's your weather been like?

Sorry this post is a day late but I had no wifi, whoops!

As I was looking out the window, I saw this amazing view. My uncle called out, "Come outside and take a picture for Instagram!" So, I actually went outside, which is weird. I know. But I loved the view that I saw so much that I'd thought I'd post it here as well!

This picture was taken just outside my grandparents cottage by yours truly on my wonderful iPad 3 camera. It literally rained 2 minutes after I took this picture. Overall, I just thought this picture was very interesting and pretty. What do you think? Do you have any pictures of the sky? I'd love to see them!

Birthday Messages to My Best Friend

Hey there! Ready for the second day of Blogust? I hope you are because I sure am! 

Today is one of my very best friends birthday and I thought what better way to honour her by dedicating a blog post to her. (Lawls she doesn't even know I have a blog) Anyways here is the message I sent to her last night before her actual birthday. I'm slightly changing the parts where I said names because I think it's a bit weird If I say the names, yenno? 

HAPPY EARLY BIRTHDAY KIDO 🎉🎉✨🎁

I miss you sososooooooo much. I'm looking forward to seeing you soon, like its what's getting me through this lovely time here at the cottage with my family. I hope your day is filled with happiness, sparkles and whatever your 16 year old self's heart desires. I hope being sixteen is a year that you'll remember filled with friends (like myself), your lovely boyfriend that I have yet to meet, family AND A BUNCH OF REALLY GOOD FOOD.

The first memory I have of us is us playing barbies at my moms daycare in the basement. You took the ugly one so right then and there I knew I was gonna wanna keep hanging out with you :) my thinking back then is still right to this day. You are great and I'm sososooooooo happy that your happy with *insert boyfriend's name* it looks like he makes you really happy! I'm sorry I can't be there I'm not sure about next year either BUT FOR YOUR 18th BIRTHDAY WE WILL HAVE A GREAT TIME. I honestly have no clue if I make any sence right now because I am half asleep but i just wanted to wish you a happy birthday cuz your my best friend from as long as I remember. Like I know we will have other best friends and stuff but that's good because we'd be losers if we only had each other and we are 4 hrs away. But when we grow old and stuff I wanna still be your best friend. Whether we are 6, 16, 60 or 600 and dead lets be actually bffs forever. I need sleep. Loooooooooooooove you 😘 and hbd girly🎉🎉 OH AND EXPECT ANOTHER THING IN THE SNAIL MAIL BUT I HAVEN'T SENT IT YET 📫📪📬📭📭📮📨📩✉ happy birthday *insert funny nickname*  (as *insert an old friend's name*would say) 

That was the message I sent my best friend for her sixteenth birthday, she's one special gal for putting up with me for this long. Is there anything else I should've included? What would you have said? I'd love to hear it!

Why Do I Blog?

Hey you! How are ya doing? 

Welcome to my first official Blogust blog post. I'm actually quite excited for this. Throughout the past couple of months I've been wondering why exactly I am blogging. To be honest I don't really specifically know why this has become one of my favourite hobbies but I do know that it makes me happy and being happy IS important. So I did some thinking and I came up with some reasons why I blog and maybe why you should too.

Why Do I Blog? 

-Blogging isn't boring. I get bored quite easily but blogging gives me something to do that I don't get bored of. I always find myself wasting time on the Internet but here I'm not.

-Blogging is now my hobby. I've never had a hobby that I've stuck to. I usually change my mind about something after about a week. But blogging gives me the freedom to talk about different subjects which is probably why I have stuck to it.

-Blogging as Corella is my version of being Hannah Montana. I've always looked up to Hannah even at the age of 16. (IM SIXTEEN NOW WOOT WOOT) I like the idea of being able to do something without other people knowing that it's you. Yea, I'm a little weird like that.

-Blogging lets me see how I've grown. Wow, that sounds deep. But I think it's really cool how I can go back and see my first blog post and laugh at it. I wonder what I was thinking when I wrote it. Years from now I'm probably going to be laughing at all this. Oddly enough, I think that's really cool. 

-Blogging makes me think. I know that everything makes me think but blogging makes me use the English language arts part of my brain. I find it hard going back to school after not writing and reading all summer but now I'm doing these things without even realizing it. 

Those were some of the reasons I came up with off the top of my head of why I blog. Maybe I'll have to do an updated version in a couple months and see if they have changed or if I have missed any.

Introduction to Blogust

Hey there! How's your summer been going? Hopefully it's been fantastically filled with sunshine and happiness. (I don't know if that made sense but y'all know what I mean, right?)

Since it is August now, I feel that I need to get something accomplished during this fabulous summer month and I also realized that I haven't been blogging as much as I would have liked to. Being the creative, dedicated thinker I am, I decided to do Blogust. The Corella definition of Blogust is to make a blog post for every day of August. Although I would like to post on each day of August, I realize that due to the traveling I am doing throughout the month I will not have access to the wifi that is needed to post. Nevertheless I will be making a blog post for each day, whether it is actually on the day or not. 

Also, please do not give me all the credit for coming up with Blogust. I was watching some old Ingrid and Luke videos on youtube a while back and I came across that they participated in Vlogust. Which is when they vlogged for every day of August. I thought that was very cool so I just adapted it to Blogust so I could participate. I'm sure there are many other bloggers and vloggers who do this but I really haven't looked into that. If you or anyone you know are participating in Blogust/Vlogust be sure to let me know! I'd love to check them out!

I'm looking forward to blogging everyday this month. If you want me to blog about anything in particular be sure to let me know!
