Christmas Tag & My Pets with Christmas Tree Hats

Hey there! Merry Christmas! Or if you prefer Happy Holidays!!
I have royally sucked at blogging lately but no excuse just enjoy :)

I am using the questions from Tiffany Alvords video from Youtube and just adjusting them to fit my blog, I hope you guys don't mind.. :)

1) Use one emoji to describe how excited you are for Christmas
😹

2) What's the best present you have ever given and why?
The best present I have ever given would probably be when I made a collage of all of the boys my friend like. Just seeing her reaction made me so happy and the stories behind the collage itself were hilarious.

3) Whats the best present you have ever been given and why?
A onesie. I've always wanted one and when I finally got one last Chrismas I was sooooo happy. I actually still where if all of the time.

4) What is your favourite Christmas song?
Joy to the World is probably this years favourite. I fell Infront of my friends at church and apparently it was hilarious. That whole sing is just a giant inside joke to my friends and I.

5) What's your favourite Christmas film?
A Christmas Story. Surprisingly I haven't watched it yet. I will most likely be watching it tomorrow.

6) How do you wrap presents, paper or bags?
For Christmas 90% of the time I wrap terribly and use bags the other 10% for the complicated gifts.

7) If you could rename one of Santa's reindeer, what would you name it?
I'd probably name it Corella, I like myself a lot. Is that bad?

8) What's your favourite thing about Christmas?
I like having all my family together in the same place. We hardly ever all get along but it would be really strange if we did & I wouldn't have it any other way. Also being off of school is a plus.

Now onto pictures of my pets! I got two super cute tree hats for them from Target, $4.99 each.
This is what the hat looks all by itself.

This is Ella, I know she's blurry but she's crazy. This picture represents her quite well.

She wasn't too happy with the hat, I took it off right after. Don't worry haha

This is Kitty and she really did not like her tree hat.

Overall, I have learned that animals really don't like wearing hats and I won't be making them wear them again because they look so unhappy. But it's a little funny at the same time. I'm a terrible pet owner.

Also if you did any Christmas Tags, I'd love to check them out!!

Enjoy your holidays!

Rebecca Black's New Song Saturday featuring David Days

Hey there lovely! How's your Saturday going? (See what I did there) haha.

Today, (Saturday), the beautiful Rebecca Black debuted her new song Saturday. This song feautured the dashing, David Days.

Overall, I feel Saturday was a HUGE improvement from Friday. You could hear Rebecca's real voice, the lyrics were relevant, my long time favourite David Days was there and Rebecca just look gorgeous as well.
If you have watched both videos already, you can tell that there is a big difference in the maturity of Rebecca's parties. I liked that Saturday's party was like an actual party. It was very relevant and realistic.
In my opinion, the only factor that Friday has on Saturday, is that Friday is catchier. (Or maybe I just listen to Friday way too often) I can easily sing along to Friday but it's going to take a bit more work to learn the words to Saturday. But I gladly will because so that I have a song to sing every Saturday.

MY FAVOURITE MOMENTS FROM SATURDAY

The "gotta have my bowl" bowl, definatly gave me a good laugh because it referenced Friday. (Gotta have my bowl, gotta have cereal...)

When Rebecca was trying to get Friday out of her head because that's how I felt whe I work up (I had a hot chocolate at 11pm and then stayed up to 3am because I had so much energy. I got no sleep. I didn't actually do anything bad)

"SO EXCITED" was another reference to Friday which I very much enjoyed. (We, we, we so excited...)

I just thought that this looked fun. *hint* Someone punch me on a skateboard *hint*

I really enjoyed the scenery in this shot. The water looked so cool. They boys the great too. It all look great.

"Yesterday was Friday, today it is Saturday" is basically one of my favourite lines from the song. And her face while she was sing it made me really happy.

I thought the ending was perfect. He crashed the party and adjusted the rap from Friday to Saturday and it was Hilarious.

If you haven't watched Saturday yet. I highly suggest you do. It will be a very good time.
It is almost at 1 million views ALREADY! Go Rebecca and Dave!

How to get the "Miranda Sings" Look

Hey there lovely, how have you been?
Beautiful, I hope. I've been super busy lately, resulting in this blog to be long over due.

When I was handing out candy on this past Halloween, I figured I need a simple, yet committed costume to do so in. Then a brilliant idea came to me saying, "Why don't I dress up as my idol, Miranda Sings?"

For any of you who don't know who Miranda Sings is, she is a HILARIOUS comedian on youtube. I HIGHLY suggest you go look her up.

This is a very simple to do look but it requires a high level of dedication and commitment to really make the inner Miranda in you shine through.

Step 1: Begin with a fresh face. Smear any remaining eye makeup below your eyes.

Step 2: Pin any hair near your face back, in order to enlarge and fully show of your forehead.

Step 3: Decide whether your hair is curly enough to keep forward or to pull back if lacking volume. I chose to pull my hair back because I felt it wasn't as curly as it should be.

Step 4: Apply lipstick. Apply fully on lips and then apply generously above lips to give a fuller look

Now you have the Miranda Sings look!
If you are wondering more about the outfit, I wore this button down, checkered shirt. I made sure it wasn't revealing because Miranda wouldn't approve. Although you cannot see, I paired it with a pair of red sweatpants to really compliment the lipstick and provide an element of comfort as well.

If you have any questions at all about how I achieved the Miranda Sings look, feel free to ask away in the comments section!
I would love to see your Miranda Sings look too!

& Let me know what you want to see next!

One year ago from today..

Hey there!

One year ago from today..

Well it wasn't one of my best days. It was probably one of the saddest I have experienced so far. My best friend, my birthday buddy but mainly known as my dog, died.

I remember that day filled sadness, confusion, tears and just more sadness. I was just so confused how I was going to go on without my best friend.

My best friend's name was Eddie. He was fourteen, which means he was pretty old but he was still going hard until the end. I was fifteen back then so we were very close in age, exactly one year apart. I basically grew up with him my entire childhood and he was always known my dog. He was my parter in crime, my bedtime buddy, my leftover eater and most importantly mine.

It's hard to explain to someone who hasn't lost their pet before how you feel. Like a part of you is gone, you just feel empty.

Like a week after Eddie was gone, I got asked to apply to a program called Shad Valley. I basically just ended up applying because I wanted something to do to spend my time on besides being sad.

I will have a more in depth post about Shad Valley very soon!

I am a strong believer that everything happens for a reason. Sometimes bad things have to happen in order for amazing things to occur. It's hard to believe, but things always get better. It may take time but it always does.

Applying to Shad Valley was probably the best thing to ever happen to me. I applied thinking I'd never get in but somehow I did. (Which was a real confidence booster) The best wasn't just the fact I got accepted but it was experiencing it. Attending Shad Valley was the most incredible thing I have ever experienced. I met 55 other students who are insanely talented and passionate. These students will change the world but they started by changing me.

It's so weird to think that this incredible thing happened because I was sad and just didn't know what to do.

Thanks Eddie, you were my best friend but now I have 55 more thanks to you.

Rest in peace, baby.

October Favourites

Hey there beautifuls,
How was your October? Well, mine started out as quite confusing but by then end I was really appreciative of what I had and I gained more of a positive outlook on life. October was definitely a month filled with learning.

Anyways, here are my monthly favourites for October!

Favourite food: Nutella Hot Chocolate which I learned from TheGridMonster's youtube channel. It's very good and I highly recommend it!

Favourite TV show: Degrassi which just recently started started up again and I'm quite happy about it 😄

Favourite Movie: Pitch Perfect

Favourite Youtube Video: So I have two favourite videos which are quite different.
1) How to: Make Nutella Hot Chocolate by TheGridMonster. Since this is the second time I've mentioned it, you should probably try it out.
2) Friend zone by The Wing Girls. They changed the words from the song Roar by Katy Perry to a song about being in the friend zone. It is quite hilarious

Favourite Youtube Cover: Unconditional by Katy Perry covered by Ali Brustofski

Favourite Youtuber: Ali Brustofski. I have been OBSESSED with all of her music covers lately.

Favourite Song: Wrecking Ball by Miley Cyrus. This has been my jam for months now.

Favourite Hairstyle: Rope braided curls. I will have to do a photo tutorial on this soon, because it is very hard to explain just using words.

Favourite Book: Paper towns by John Green. I'm a huge fan of John Green. I seem to be only reading his amazing books lately.

Favourite quote:"As long as you don't become a dick on the journey to self discovery, then enjoy the ride" -Jim Chapman. I laugh every time I read that quote because it is so true. When you are growing up, you are going to have no clue who you are times. And that's totally okay as long as you are not a dick.

I'd love to hear how your October went and some of your favourites!
Here's to an even better November!

Halloween Inspired Crackle Nails

Hey there! How excited are you for Halloween?!

Well I actually am so excited that I came up with a very simpleHalloween inspired crackle nail art design for you guys!

This is a super easy, super quick nails design that can be done with almost any nail polish.

Supplies:
-clear coat nail polish (any will work)
-Orange nail polish (the shade of orange is up to you)
-Black crackle nail polish (any brand will do)

I personally like to apply a clear coat because it serves as the perfect base coat and protects the nail from being stained from the coloured nail polishes.

The shade of orange is really just your preference. I just chose a nice, light but bright orange because I wanted to make sure it would show through the dark, black, crackle coat.

I think that the black nail polish really gives my nails the dark and scary, Halloween feel. To finish the look off, I always like to put I top coat of clear nail polish because I find the nail art last longer and it's also shiny.

The shades of nail polishes I used were but you are definitely not limited to:
Clear: Claire's cosmetics nail polish clear
Orange: Nail Lac-Quer Aldo 22436 Juicy Gossip
Black: Sally Hansen Crackle overcoat

Also, if any of you were wondering the app I used to edit this photo tutorial was InstaFrame. I highly reccomend it to any of you who need a super good and free photo editor.

Anyways, I hope you guys enjoyed my first ever photo nail tutorial!
If you do this tutorial, I would love to see a picture!

Happy Halloween!
Xoxo

-Corella

P.S. Here are four random fun facts about this tutorial:

1. I stared writing this when my IPad was at 16% charged and now it is at 8%
2. Looking at the pictures now made me realized how crooked my fingers really are Haha
3. I used grid paper from my pre cal assignment so I wouldn't get nail polish on my desk
4. I used my sweatpants as a background for my hand in one of the photos because I thought they looked "Halloweeny"

Gives Me Hope

Hey there! How's your Friday night going? Beautifully, I hope.

Well, basically I have spent my entire night reading stories on this website called givesmehope.com
Like I'm not even joking. I'm actually on page 106 right now.

For any of you guys who have no clue what I'm talking about, this is a website that gives you the opportunity to share and read different short stories that had given that writer hope.

Here is just one if the stories that I came across:

This is just one of the many examples of a person reaching out to help a complete stranger. I think the acts of kindness that are displayed on this website are beautiful. They have inspired me.

One thing that I have noticed about the GMH is that the majority of the stories seem to be dated from 2010. That's three whole years ago. I'm really confused on why they stories are from so long ago. Perhaps, I'm just missing something? I'm going to look into this more and get back to you guys. To me, it is quite surprising to me that the site is not very popular in the current year of 2013.

I'm going to make it my mission to find out!

In the meanwhile, I'm challenging YOU to think of some things that give you hope!
I'm think my next blog post will be a post-thanksgiving mixed in with what gives me hope.

I DO want to hear what you guys have to say! What do you think about GMH? What you like me blogging about in the past? & What you want be to do next?

You are great & you give me hope,
Xoxo

Reflecting on Crying & the Little things

Hey there beautiful! How have you been? Hopefully life has been treating you well.

Lately, life has been treating me so well that I've hardly anytime to reflect on it. One of the main reasons I haven't been blogging lately because I was away on a school like trip thing. It was really cool because I got to meet with youth from all across the country. But it was basically plackes the entire day with activities. Somedays, I felt like I hardly had anytime to breath. (I mean that in the best way possible)

Looking back now, I am sooo glad I vlogged throughout the trip. (Vlogged meaning blogging but with a video at random times) It has given me the opportunity to look back all the good memories that I made. What made its so memorable for me wasn't the place itself, but the people I met and the little things we did together.

The little things were dancing on the bus with the coolest of bus drivers. Being terrible at pictionary but laughing through it. Sneaking food around the dorms ever so secretly. Waiting in the never ending food line for meals which ended up being a fantastic place to make friends. Basically, just being with new people and experiencing new things with them MADE my trip for me.

Like any trip, it has to end. And with endings there comes goodbyes. There was one particular goodbye that really touched my heart.

It was approximately 4am and none of us had any sleep yet because we stayed up the entire night because it was our last night. So everyone was quite tired. I was doing very good at not crying until I had to say goodbye to this one boy. The thing about this boy was that he was a year younger than me and I didn't even think of him as anything more than just friends. We were friendly all week long and became actual real good friends on the last day. But when it was time to say goodbye, I cried. A lot. Infact I think my tears were infectious because he was crying too. Something he said to me during this time really stood out to me.

He said, "Don't cry, you're just so happy all of the time."

Now, just over a week later. Those words still stick out to me.

It actually means a lot to me to think that someone thought that I was a happy person to be around. Like any real human being nobody is happy all of the time. Like it just makes me feel really good.

But also it makes me wonder, why is it so bad to cry? Why hold back your feelings? The fact that people willingly can hold back there tears confuses me.

I came up with this little poem (ish) thing on crying. It basically explains how I feel on holding back tears.

Basically, those few little words made me reflect on my whole trip as whole and those little words made me cry even more.

I am challenging YOU to do two things:
1. Reflect on a positive trip or an experience that you've been on. What were the little things that made it so significant?
2. Cry. Not right now. Cry next time you feel like you need to. Don't hold back how you feel.

Also, I felt too weird letting you guys know where I went on my trip because my blog is ment to be more secretive, you know? So I just left it in general terms. Hope you lovely readers didn't mind!

Until next time,
Xoxo

Very Funny "What does the Fox Say?" Text Message

Hey there!
For any of you guys who have read my September Favourites you may recall What Does The Fox Say? as being my favourite youtube video for the month.

The other day, one of my very good friends texted me this message and I couldn't just not share it with you guys.

Shoutout to Leigh for sending me this!

She basically just sent me the first part of the song using several different emoticons and I can't get over how great this is. Like it is beautiful.

If you have no clue what I'm talking about, I strongly suggest you go look up on Youtube, Ylvis - The Fox (What does the Fox say?)
It will be the best 3 minutes and 45 seconds of your life.

And if you are just as obsessed with this song as you are with shirtless boys, I highly suggest you go look up the Abercrombie & Fitch version on Youtube, it won't disappoint.

Let me know what you think about The Fox!

September Favourites

Hey there beautifuls!
September has actually been such a busy month for me. With everything from school starting back up to traveling. I felt like I never really had a moment to relax but now that October has rolled around I'm back! & I promise I will blog more throughout October!

Anyways, here are my September Favourites:

Favourite food: Raspberries and Nutella

Favourite TV show: X Factor. I already love this season so much more than the last.

Favourite Movie: Ms. Doubtfire. I actually don't remember what it was actually called I just remember laughing all the time.

Favourite Youtube Video: What does the fox Say?

Favourite Youtube Cover: Roar originally by Katy Perry but covered by Megan&Liz

Favourite Youtuber: Jenna Marbles. She's a classic and I love her.

Favourite Song: Never Been Hurt by Demi Lovato

Favourite Hairstyle: I'm the worst at having a partial beauty blog. I don't have a favourite hairstyle for September. Like on a good day I would straighten it. I am trying my best to be without heat on my hair because it's so damaging. I just want my hair to be long, okay?

Favourite quote: "If the wind will not serve, take to the oars" Funny story about why this is my quote for the month. Back in August a good friend of mine got this quote tattooed on him. To me at the time it just meant to push through the hard times and find another way. At the end of September, this same friend got in an accident. Don't worry, he's fine but it still freaked me out. The whole situation just brought be back to the quote.

Favourite book: The Fault in Our Stars by John Green. I'll just have to do an entire post on it because the book was that good. And I usually don't even read for fun.

Favourite app: just the plain old, classic camera app. I've been doing a lot of real life vlogging lately. Once I get my own laptop to edit, I'll be sure to post some. The youtube dream is getting closer and closer :)

September was good and super busy for me, how was your September? What are your favourites?

August Favourites & Blogust Review

Hey there guys!
Sorry I haven't been here in FOREVER! Seventeen days to be exact...
I've been soooo busy since the end of August. I finished up my last couple days of August catching up with some old friends where I used to live and it was great. Then school started the very next day I got back. School is school. It's something alright. Once the first weekend rolled around I went straight to my other friends cabin and spent the entire weekend there. (With no wifi might I add) Then I had another full week of school. So this weekend was the very first weekend in a long time where I could just relax IN MY OWN HOUSE.

Although I was busy, those were not good enough excuses for me not to finish Blogust and post my August favourites in August.

Speaking of Blogust, I'm actually so proud of it. I basically made it to the end of August blogging pretty much every day. That's crazy!! Although some posts are questionable, I'm going to looove looking back and laughing at them. What did YOU think?

Anyways here are my very late monthly favourites for August!!

Favourite food: Pepperoni Pizza

Favourite TV show: Degrassi

Favourite Movie: The Perfect Man

Favourite Youtube Video: HOW TO TWERK! (Miranda Sings)

Favourite Youtube Cover: My Love is Like a Star By Demi Lovato covered by Connie Talbot. (She actually did many Demi Covers throughout August and it was so hard to pick just one)

Favourite Youtuber: Miranda Sings, I know she was my favourite in months past but I just love her so much that she's my favourite in two months, okay?

Favourite Song: In the Shadows Tonight by Megan&Liz

Favourite Hairstyle: My best friend curled my hair super cutely and I loved it. Here is just a casual selfie of me and my hair.

Favourite quote: I found this random picture on twitter one day but I find it totally relates to me. Although. Have no clue who it's by.

Favourite app: I actually have to faves for the month of August. Corella's favourite app was the Pic Collage app which is how all the Blogust pictures were made. The regular me's favourite would have to be Instagram. I love looking through all my past photos.

Hopefully you guys enjoyed my whole Blogust month and my monthly favourites! I'll be sure to keep them coming as long as you guys want them!! Hah
If there is anything else you guys would like to see, I'd love to here your ideas and opinions!
I also have very cool things planned for the future and I'm excited! Be sure to keep checking back!
Thanks for reading!

A Day in the Life of Me

Hey there! What did you do today?

Today when I was trying to come up with something to write about, I felt like I was running out of inspiration. So I was going through the events of my day and then I thought, "Hey, Why don't I just blog about what I did today?" Hence what I'm doing right now, haha.

My day began at 8:04am when I woke up to my barking dog alarm as I lay on the tent floor. The barking dogs never fail to wake me up. If you were wondering why I was in a tent refer to my last blog post. I had an appointment at 9am to go change around my school schedule. Running on about five hours asleep I got ready to go to school, I even brushed my teeth. Wow, I'm a giver.

Once I arrived at the school, I quickly remembered the terrible air conditioning that my school has. Like I don't think it should even be considered air conditioning. The temperature outside of the school is the same inside of the school and it feels like +30'C. I think we have a problem. As I start talking to the teacher who is changing the time table around, she informs me that the computer system is down. So my schedule would not me ale to be changed at this time. I'm already loving the  brand new school year.

It's probably like 9:07am now and I make my way back to my friend's tent party. I complained for a while but then we had some really good cinnamon buns with strawberries and chocolate milk. That breakfast made my whole day better. Then I went back home and chilled for a while. The my school called and figured out my schedule via telephone so I wouldn't have to go back there. Woot woot. They are great people, minus the fact that I still don't know which classes I have. I have been told that it all works out now.

Then at 1pm, I went to the orthodontist to go get my bottom braces. I'm glad I finally got them on. I've only had my top since mid-November. No big deal. The bottom braces hurt way more than the top ever did. Like its not an "I'm dying" pain but it's more like "it's incredibly uncomfortable to eat" pain. Hopefully I can eat normally soon because I like food.
Adds this next part in 5 minutes later. Also, these bottom braces don't really look like your regular braces. They are at like the very bottom of my teeth and it is thicker in some area. I feel like spider man attacked my bottom teeth.

After that, I just chilled at home some more. I did a quick little shopping trip with my mother to get my friends birthday gift I'm seeing tomorrow. I did some packing as well for my mini road trip to go see this friend. I plan on doing tomorrows blog about my trip and how excited I am. I'll leave some surprises for tomorrow.

And now I'm in the present moment, I really liked doing this kind of blog. If felt cool reflecting back on my day. I think I'm going to do more of these in the future. What do you think?

27 Reasons Why I Don't Enjoy Tents

Hey there! Have you been tenting lately? Hopefully your experience went better than mine!

On the 27th if August, two of my good friends and I thought it would be a wonderful idea to go sleep in a tent for the night. It's really not a good idea if it was 33'C throughout the day, the night will be very warm as well. I only ended up getting about five hours of sleep which means I was up for a very long time. While I was up I made a list of why I really don't enjoy tents in general..

27th day of Blogust, 27 Reasons. See what I did there? Haha. I think I'm funny at least.

I'd love to hear about any of your tenting experiences!
Also if you have and advice, suggestions or anything else to help improve the Corella Blog, I'd be soo happy to hear about your ideas!
Thanks for reading!

Really Funny Prank Call

Hey there!  Have you ever prank called anyone? Or have you ever been on the receiving end of it? Either way as long as its light hearted and fun, I believe prank calls are always a good time.

Last night, I was quite bored. I had my phone and my iPad right next to me. My iPad gave me the brilliant idea to prank call some of my friends. This is basically how I spent my entire night.

I would begin the call by asking "Is Mr. or Mrs. Wall home?"
Then my friends would respond with something along the lines of "no."
Then I would change the wording around a couple more times such as, "Are there any wall residents home?"
By this time my friends just think I'm stupid and they stopped actually listening to what I am saying.
Then I would finally ask, "is there any walls in your home?"
Then most of the time the will say there are no walls here.
I would then start laughing and ask how there ceiling is still up?

I has two friends out of seven fall for it. I'm pretty sure I thought it was way funnier than they did. I had a great time.

Miley's New Song: Wrecking Ball

Hey there! Have you heard Miley's new song yet? It's probably my favourite yet!

Miley Cyrus has been working on her new album Bangerz for quite some time now. The album will be released on October 8th, 2013. Needless to say, I AM QUITE EXCITED. So far, we have only heard two songs off the album. The first one being We Can't Stop. It has basically been my go to jam all summer. The second song which just so happens to be the newest song to be released is Wrecking Ball. This song is defiantly my favourite out of the two.

Whoops, I took this picture off of google. Please don't hate me.

The song began with this cute piano part which I wasn't expecting since her last single, We Can't Stop, was more pop like. But I was really intrigued by the piano being played. When she started singing I was amazed. I loved this softer side of Miley in the verse. I felt the meaning behind what she was saying rather then just feeling the need to dance. (Which isn't necessarily a bad thing)
The there was the chorus. The verse perfectly transitioned into the chorus. The chorus had power behind it and I loved it. Like I was in visioning the wrecking ball breaking down the walls as she sang.

All I could think about throughout the song was that THIS was the Miley I knew and loved. In the past Miley has been quite successful with her more meaningful songs like The Climb. Not that I didn't like being able to jam out to We Can't Stop but it just wasn't the Miley that I loved. Hah, I wonder if that even made sense to any of y'all.

I was very impressed by this new song and I can't wait to hear the rest of the album! I also want to finally figure out what Bangerz actually means!
What do YOU think of Wrecking Ball?

New Aritzia Leggings!

Hey there! Have you been to Aritzia? I love EVERYTHING there! Especially the leggings..

Since I have been doing a TON of back to school shopping, I knew I had to get more leggings. Like they are basically a necessity. I came into Aritzia and got my first pair for $22.00 and then came back a week later to buy two more pairs. Each were $22.00 as well. I was expecting the price to be much higher hence why I bought three pairs - hehe. Overall, I am super happy with my purchases since they are quality leggings and cheap too!

Hah I like to keep things interesting and flip the directions of pictures. Perfection is boring.

What do YOU think of Aritzia leggings?

Gold Glittery Nails

Hey there! What do your nails look like? Keep reading to find out what mine are!

Before you look at the photo, I would like to point out that I suck at painting my nails. This is some of my best work!

Like my pajama pants background?

The brand of nail polish I used was OPI, as you can see the bottle I used below.

My question for you is, how good are you at painting your own nails? I for one am terrible but believe it or not, I am improving! Hopefully I'm not the only one who struggles with this! Haha

New Shoes!

Hey there! Buy any fancy new shoes lately? Hehe, I sure did!

Since summer is slowly coming to an end and school is starting up again soon, I went back to school shopping. I love shopping. You'll notice in the next couple days I'll have plenty of shopping to blog about. Anyways, here are the two pairs of shoes I got!

I'm going to start with the pair of shoes on the left. I fell in love with the entire Soda shoe selection at the store for their style and structure. What drew me to this particular pair was the colour and texture. I feel like whenever I look down I will think of summer. Plus, my grandma picked them out!

Now on to the pair on the right. I've always liked the way American Eagle footwear looked, especially the patterns. Although, the sides of the shoes are a bit more flimsy than expected but that's okay because they still look super cute!

I think that both pairs of shoes will be perfect for my back to school needs. They provide closed toe coverage for my feet for science projects and all that wonderful stuff. But they also are very fall and spring like. They are not too summery but not all wintery, which is a very good combination that I like.

I hope you enjoyed my shoe section of my back to school shopping. Expect more back to school shopping post soon!

My Teeth Hurt

Hey there! Do your teeth hurt? Mine sure do..

As some of you long term readers know, I have braces. Although I do not have braces on my bottom teeth yet. For now, I have these "spacers" in my teeth and they hurt, a lot.
I'm now coming up with a list of reasons why I don't like these spacers, this was not planned ahead of time. I'm literally making it up.

TWENTY ONE REASONS WHY I DON'T LIKE SPACERS
1. They are blue
2. They look abnormal compared to my white teeth
3. I can't chew gum
4. The hurt
5. The hurt quite a lot
6. They are noticeable from a distance
7. I don't know their real name
8. They have a weird name
9. I didn't get the option of white spacers
10. Lack of colour options
11. I can't floss in that spot not that I was gonna floss anyways
12. I have a fear of them falling out
13. I have a fear of them not making space so I have to wear them longer to make more space
14. I have to wear them for a week
15. They make it painful to eat
16. It's harder to eat smarties
17. I think the lack of eating due to the spacers will make me malnourished
18. I'm hungry because of them
19. I want to be able to eat without worrying about braking them or being in pain
20. They suck
21. I can't focus on anything else except how my teeth hurt, hence this post

I should probably be more grateful due to the face that they are making more space so I don't have to loose a tooth. But the spacers hurt, okay?

Happy 21st Birthday Demi Lovato!

Hey there! Today for Day Twenty of Blogust we are going to be celebrating Demi Lovato's 21st Birthday!!

First off, I feel like we should all take a moment to sing Happy Birthday to Demi as a gift since she has always sang to us.
*read the following as if you were singing it in your head*
Happy birthday to you,
Happy birthday to you,
Happy birthday to Demetria Lovato,
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!!!
*you may keep singing the rest if you wish to*

if I did the math correctly, Demi was born August 20th, 1992. A day that changed all of our lives or the better. Demi has continued to inspire me in many ways since I first discovered her on Camp Rock. I remember my older sister was counting down the days until Camp Rock aired and then she forced me to watch it. I'm sure glad she did!

Since then I have been following Demi just about everywhere. Including but not limited to Sonny With a Chance, Camp Rock 2, and The X Factor. Not to forget all of the videos I have watched on Youtube of her performances, appearances and interviews. And Her music, oh her music. I can never get it out of my head. There's just something that's so addictive about Demi Lovato.
OH, did I mention that Demi Lovato is rumoured to be on Glee? BRB WHILE I GO CRY OF PURE JOY!

As you can tell from the picture above, Demi is currently having a blast spending her birthday in Africa. But seriously, Demi is spending her 21st birthday in Africa. How great is she?!?! She is spending HER day helping others. She is a true inspiration.

Demi has always been a role model to me. She went through a rough time in her life but she didn't let that defeat her. She used those experiences to better herself and better others as well. Some day I want to be just like Demi. Not in the famous aspect but in the sense that she is always inspiring others without realizing it. In fact, she is inspiring me right now.

Has Demi inspired YOU? I'd love to hear all about it!

Megan&Liz's New Song: In the Shadows Tonight

Hey there! Have you guys heard of the youtube sensations Megan&Liz? Well you are about to!

Megan and Liz are twin singers who became famous via Youtube. I have been following them since way back in the day when they were just singing in the kitchen using a webcam. I love watching how far they have come.

They have this new song called In The Shadows Tonight. I really like this song because I feel like there's a lot of meaning behind it. The music video is also a very good different from their usual which I loved seeing. The girls also look especially pretty in this video with their darker style.
I highly suggest you guys go check the song out! It's definitely one of my new favourites!

On a side note, the photo above is from when my iPad wouldn't load. It stopped at a very attractive frame of the two girls. I had a good laugh!

Have YOU listened to their new song? What did YOU think? I'd love to hear!

I Made Cookies!

Hey there! Would you consider yourself a good baker? I did too, until I tasted these cookies I made..

The purpose behind these cookies were that my mother asked me to make them of my younger brother and his friends. I kindly agreed. The ingredients that I were using seemed a little outdated but they looked find. Here's how the cookies looked!

Basically, these chocolate chip cookies looked pretty solid but were lacking in taste. I don't believe I added enough sugar because they didn't taste very sweet. As I mentioned before, the ingredients in general were questionable in age, so they were most likely an additional factor to the awful taste.

Have YOU ever messed up while baking? I'd love to hear about it!
